Dear Parents, Guardians, and Caregivers -
I hope this message finds you and your family enjoying a joyous and peaceful holiday season. As we welcome the new year, I want to take a moment to celebrate the incredible achievements of the School District of Random Lake in 2024 - a year that marked a remarkable transformation for our schools both inside and outside the classroom.
Reflecting on 2024, it feels like a year of metamorphosis, shaping who we are today and who we aim to become. Through our steadfast commitment to improving grading practices, curriculum development, and instructional strategies, we've already seen significant advancements. These efforts have directly contributed to measurable success, including a perfect ACT and 10% of our graduating class achieving a score of 29 or higher, two National Merit Scholars within the past three years, the highest ASVAB score in the state, and nearly 30% of our junior and seniors participating in Youth Apprenticeships.
These accomplishments exemplify what we proudly call the Random Lake Advantage. Together, our students, educators, and community have fostered an environment where students excel academically, socially, and personally. It's clear our schools and community are more united than ever, and if 2024 was a great year, 2025 promises to be even better!
Looking ahead, 2025 will bring exciting changes, including the completion of the new East Addition. This space will house a Main Office, Kitchen, Activity Center, and Pupil Services Department, marking another milestone in our journey. Below is the construction schedule for the coming months:

Jan 20 - New Drop-Off/Pick-Up Procedures: Begin drop-off/pick-up outside the New Main Entrance (instructions coming soon!)
Jan 17 - Apr 30 : Demolition of the old kitchen/cafeteria to create a new District Library
Apr - Jul : Renovation of the old High School Library into a Fitness Center
Apr - Jul : Renovation of the old Middle School Library into a STEM lab
May - Aug : Renovations to the Elementary and Middle School buildings
Sept - Oct : Final touches on all projects
While 2025 will undoubtedly be an exciting year, it will also be a time of change. Transitions can be challenging, and I truly appreciate your patience, flexibility, and optimism as we continue working toward an even brighter future for our students and community.
