The RLHS NHS students raised an amazing $700 through Miracle Minutes at basketball games and a St. Nick fundraiser! 🎅 With this money, NHS students purchased toys for 26 local kids and teens, using their wish lists to make their Christmas a little brighter. These gifts will be shared with families through the Random Lake Ecumenical Group. Thank you to everyone who supported these efforts—your generosity helped spread joy in our community! ❤️✨ The answer to today's holiday trivia question: Jingle Bells was originally named “One Horse Open Sleigh” when written in 1857. #RLADVANTAGE #NHS #TheChristmasSpirit

Youth Apprenticeship Highlight: Opportunities for EVERY student in ALL interests, while finding ways to show students that education can be enjoyable are the main priorities within our Academic and Career Planning at the School District of Random Lake. This week’s YA Highlight is a true example of students seeking careers that support others. This week, we would like to highlight Arianna Adair and Tucker Hiller for the hard work they are putting in balancing their classes at RLHS in addition to their Youth Apprenticeship experience. Arianna, a senior, has a career goal of working as an Event Planner within Hospitality. With her goal set, Arianna has been working with the Plaza Hotel in Milwaukee as a YA assisting with their event planning. Academically, Arianna will earn 5 college credits upon graduation in May. In addition to balancing her courses and YA, Arianna is also a part of the RLHS Concert Choir, she is involved with 4H, and enjoys rodeos in her spare time. Tucker, a senior, has a career goal of becoming a Math or Science teacher. That said, he is one of 3 Education YA's at the School District of Random Lake, and works specifically with our high school Math department. Academically, Hunter will earn 15 college credits prior to graduation in May. When not in the classroom, or mentoring others within Math, you will find Tucker leading the RLHS ESports State Championship team. Two examples of students finding a passion through Academic and Career Planning, enjoying education within their field, making memories in extracurricular activities, and getting an #RLAdvantage before they graduate high school due to their hard work and dedication. Keep up the great work! #StrongCommunityConnections #IndividualizedAcademics #YouthApprenticeship

We are incredibly grateful to Kim Dieffenbach and Michels Pipeline, Inc. for their generous donation, which will directly benefit families in need within our community. Kim shared that giving back is deeply meaningful to her: “I’m so fortunate to be in a position to help take care of the community.” Her personal experiences growing up have inspired her to support children and families who need it most. This donation will help provide food support for families in our community in partnership with the local food bank. Thank you to Kim and Michels Pipeline, Inc. for making a meaningful difference in Random Lake. Your kindness is truly appreciated! 💙 #CommunityCares #RLSD

Bring a Freshman to the Game! Our Freshman Mentor Program is kicking off an awesome initiative to build connections and school spirit! We're encouraging all 10th-12th graders to buddy up with a freshman and bring them along to these upcoming home games: 🎉 12/17: Boys Basketball vs. Sheboygan Christian 🎉 12/19: Wrestling vs. Reedsville & Cedar Grove-Belgium 🎉 1/3: Girls Basketball vs. West Bend East Our mentors are stepping up and bringing freshmen to these games, but this is also a great opportunity for upperclassmen to reach out, make a freshman feel welcome, and enjoy some great school spirit together. #RLADVANTAGE #MentorProgram #BringAFreshman

Exciting news! Our talented Random Lake art students have won this year’s tree-decorating contest at the RL Historical Society! Over 350 students from kindergarten through high school contributed their creativity to make ornaments for our beautiful tree, which celebrates the love of our village. The design features the 18 historical buildings in the village, along with sledders, ice skaters, and pops of black-and-white designs that complete the snowy scene. If you missed it at Night of Lights, you can still admire this masterpiece—and other stunning trees—on December 15 while enjoying the RL Chamber Singers. 🎶✨ Special thanks to Lisa Masslich and Sally Ambrose for sharing this wonderful update with us!

Youth Apprenticeship Highlight: Opportunities for EVERY student in ALL interests, while finding ways to show students that education can be enjoyable are the main priorities within our Academic and Career Planning at the School District of Random Lake. This week’s YA Highlight is a true example of two students learning skills through 'hands on' experiences within their career interests. This week, we would like to highlight Holton Golke and Hunter Koenig for the hard work they are putting in balancing their classes at RLHS in addition to their Youth Apprenticeship experience. Holten, a senior, has a career goal of working within the realm of Tech Ed, and partaking in 'Hands On' work. With his goal set, Holten has entered his second year as a YA at Lochen Equipment in Newburg, WI, where he is an Ag Mechanic. In addition to balancing his courses and YA, Holten is the Class Officer President of c/o 2025, and is a 3-sport Varsity athlete (Football, Wrestling, Track). Hunter, a junior, thrives in Tech Ed environments! Heavy Equipment Operator is his career goal, and he is able to learn more about the career at his YA through Fromm Family Foods. Academically, Hunter has balanced his core classes while diving into the deep variety of Tech Ed courses RLHS has to offer. Knowledge he has learned in these classes has truly helped him succeed within his YA.

8th Grade Elective Tours for Mrs. Rogers's ACP course have begun! Mrs. Rogers and Mr. Frias have partnered over the past few years to provide 8th graders with tours of each elective offering at the high school. This is a great opportunity for students to ask questions, explore their interests, and meet some of our elective teachers. Some of our Freshman Mentors also joined in on the fun last week, sharing insider tips with the 8th graders. Thank you to our Tech Ed department for showing our 8th graders such wonderful hospitality last week!
