On Friday, February 13, the RLHS National Honor Society hosted a fundraiser during the boys and girls basketball games to support Pink Heals of Sheboygan County. Thanks to the generosity of our community, we raised a total of $1,871.02.

Funds were raised through several efforts, including:
• Dash for Cash (Miracle Minute)
• T-shirt sales (Mr. Jacobson’s class printed shirts at cost, allowing all profits to be donated)
• Valentine locker and door treat bags

We are proud of our students for their leadership and grateful to everyone who helped make this fundraiser a success in support of a great cause.

Mrs. Cashman’s 1st grade class celebrated the 100th Day of School in style! Students dressed up as if they were 100 years old and enjoyed a day full of counting, creating, and celebrating everything they’ve learned over the past 100 days. Six of our Random Lake High School math students attended an Actuarial Science Career Day at Northwestern Mutual Insurance in Milwaukee. Students learned about career paths in actuarial science and gained insight into how math and data analysis are used in real-world decision making. Students in Wilderness Science are building real-world survival skills! Using found materials and charcoal from past fires, they created homemade water filters and successfully removed red food coloring from tap water. This hands-on experiment helped students practice essential survival techniques—and they did a great job!

Students in Mrs. Goneau’s 2nd grade class explored STEM concepts through a mini Olympic curling event. Using pennies as curling stones and tin foil to design and test their own “ice” surfaces, students experimented, made adjustments, and discovered how different materials and movement affect how far—and how straight—a penny slides. Learning through creativity and hands-on problem solving at its best!
